GetRating and Review sites
GetRating sends customers to your existing review pages using their public review links. No account connection is needed, and it works on every plan, including Free.
Plan: All plans
Who it is for
Every GetRating user. This is the core of the product.
What it does
- Store one or more public review links per location: presets for Google, Facebook, Yelp, Trustpilot and TripAdvisor, plus custom URLs for industry sites.
- Send customers to those links from the rating page, by star level (Split mode), by percentage (A/B mode) or as one list (Links mode).
- Count how many customers opened each review site from the GetRating page.
When it runs
- A customer scans the location's QR code or opens its short link and taps a star rating.
How to set it up
- Open Dashboard → Locations and add a location.
- Paste the review link for each site you use. For Google, the free Google Review Link Generator finds it from your business name.
- Choose a review mode and save.
- Download the QR code or copy the short link.
Example
A café pastes its Google and TripAdvisor review links, picks A/B mode with a 70/30 split, and prints the QR code on its receipts.
Limitations
- Reviews are written on the review site, not on GetRating. Without a connected account (Business plan) GetRating cannot see or reply to them.
- GetRating does not import, edit or remove reviews on any site.
- Clicks are counted when a customer opens the link; GetRating cannot see whether they finished writing the review.
Troubleshooting
- Customers land on the business profile instead of the review form: use the direct 'write a review' link, for Google the one from the Review Link Generator.
- Reviews show up on the wrong branch: each branch needs its own location with its own review links.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to connect my Google account to collect Google reviews?
No. Pasting your public Google review link is enough. Connecting the account is only needed to read and reply to reviews in GetRating (Business plan).
Can I use a review site that is not in the list?
Yes. Add it as a custom URL; it works the same way as the presets.
