GetRating and Zapier

Endpoints built for Zapier, authenticated with your GetRating API key, to move feedback into other apps.

Plan: All plans

Who it is for

Teams that connect tools with Zapier instead of writing code.

What it does

  • Actions: create a review, update a review's status (open, in progress, resolved), record a reply and create an alert.
  • Polling triggers: new feedback (filter by location, stars or status), locations and alerts.

When it runs

  • Polling: Zapier asks GetRating for new items on its schedule.
  • Instant (REST hook) subscriptions can be created, but GetRating does not push to them yet, so use polling triggers.

How to set it up

  1. Create an API key under Dashboard → Integrations.
  2. In Zapier, use Webhooks by Zapier or an API request step with the X-API-Key header.
  3. Poll GET /api/zapier/triggers/reviews for new feedback, or call /api/zapier/actions for actions.

Example

A salon chain polls new 1–2 star feedback and creates a task in its project tool for the studio manager.

Limitations

  • There is no listed GetRating app in Zapier's app directory; you call the endpoints from Zapier's webhook or API steps.
  • Instant triggers are not delivered yet; polling runs on Zapier's schedule.
  • The reply action records a reply in GetRating; it does not send a message to the customer.

Troubleshooting

  • Test the key with POST /api/zapier/auth before building the Zap.
  • No new items: check the since and location_id filters on the trigger request.

Frequently asked questions

Is GetRating in the Zapier app directory?

No. The endpoints follow Zapier's patterns, and you connect them with Zapier's webhook or API request steps.

Can Zapier get new feedback instantly?

Not yet. Use the polling trigger for new feedback; Zapier checks on its own schedule.
