Zapier, Webhooks, Slack and the API
GetRating can send feedback and alerts to the tools your team already uses. All of this is available on every plan, including Free.
1. Create an API key
Open Dashboard → Integrations and choose Create API Key. Give it a name such as 'Zapier'.
Copy the key straight away. It is shown only once. You can revoke it at any time from the same page.
2. Connect Zapier
GetRating's Zapier endpoints use your API key. Triggers include new feedback, low rating, feedback resolved, weekly summary, external review received and alert triggered.
Actions let a Zap create a review entry, update a review's status, record a reply or create an alert. The developer docs list every endpoint and field.
3. Add a webhook
Under Dashboard → Integrations → Custom Webhooks, add your endpoint URL and pick the events: new_feedback, low_rating, feedback_resolved or weekly_summary.
Set a secret to have every request signed with HMAC-SHA256 in the X-Webhook-Signature header. Use Test to send a sample event and check Deliveries for status codes and errors.
4. Send alerts to Slack
Create an incoming webhook in Slack for the channel you want, paste the URL into the Slack section of Dashboard → Integrations and choose Test Connection.
5. Read reviews with the REST API
Call GET https://getrating.co/api/v1/reviews?locationId=… with the X-API-Key header to get approved public reviews and a rating summary for a location.
Pro Tips
One key per integration
Create a separate API key for each tool so you can revoke one without breaking the others.
Verify signatures
Always check the X-Webhook-Signature header before trusting a webhook payload.
