Switching from Grade.us to GetRating
Moving from Grade.us to GetRating means changing the review link and QR code your customers see. Reviews already on Google and other sites stay there. GetRating does not import reviews, contacts or message history from Grade.us, so plan to start collecting fresh in GetRating while Grade.us runs out.
Should you switch from Grade.us?
Stay with Grade.us if
- You are an agency and need white-label branding
- You want to resell review management to many clients
- You need review monitoring for client accounts
Switch to GetRating if
- You are the business owner, or you manage a few locations directly
- You want custom branding on review pages (Growth) without a reseller setup
- You want to start free
You give up: White-label reseller platform. GetRating does not offer these.
What stays where it is
- Every review already on Google, Facebook, Trustpilot, Yelp, TripAdvisor or another site. Reviews belong to those sites, so they stay where they are.
- Your Google Business Profile and other review profiles. GetRating sends customers to them using their public review links.
What does not move from Grade.us
- Reviews and review replies stored inside the old tool. GetRating does not import reviews from other tools or sites.
- Customer contact lists and message history. GetRating has no contact import; follow-ups only reach customers who leave their details on the GetRating rating page.
- Website widgets from the old tool. Replace them with the GetRating widget or remove them.
The switch, step by step
- Set up GetRating (one sitting per location). Create a free account, add each location, paste its review links and pick a review mode. Each location gets its own QR code and short link straight away.
- Swap the links customers use. Replace Grade.us's review link in your emails, SMS templates, website and booking confirmations with the GetRating short link. Digital links can change the same day.
- Replace printed codes. Print the GetRating QR code on table tents, receipts, invoices and counter signs. This usually takes as long as your next reprint, so it is the slowest step.
- Run both, then cancel Grade.us. Keep Grade.us until nothing printed or digital points to it, then cancel under Grade.us's own contract terms. Check its notice period before you start.
How long it takes depends mostly on printed material. We have not measured a median switch time across customers, so this page does not quote one.
